Partial solar eclipse here on the Gold Coast (Australia) this morning between 5:55am - 8am.
My area received 83% coverage of the sun, considering that the full total eclipse was more than 1,000 miles away from my location. The sky dulled quite significantly during the peak for about 20 minutes with birds panicking due to the sky darkening and dogs everywhere were barking. It was insane!
The reason why the sun looks strange in these photos is because of the filter I attached to my lens. It took away all sun glare and gave me a very nice clear disk to view the eclipse with
