And that's absolutely true. This image is powerful. The words are written very clearly, and it makes you stop and think about the fleeting things in life. Just as this paper is burning, those moments burn away too. It spoke to me.

This is a fantastic photograph, as the background is beautiful as well. The photograph quality is top grade too. It looks just a tad fuzzy, but, gives this piece a small hazy glow. I'm happy you were able to capture this picture before the words burned too much. Great timing on your part. You did a great job.

This is a wonderful piece! The contrast between the green lush background and the orange flames curling over the deteriorating paper is wonderful and shows the difference between what we want to percieve and what we do percieve. I also like how you ripped the paper to give a greater sense of destruction along with the flames.

One thing that I would suggest doing (though I understand it may not be practical with you hanging onto a piece of flaming paper) is getting the background to be darker and less in focus. This would be challenging, but I think it would better display the correct atmosphere than what you have. But, what you have looks perfectly fine, it just doesn't show as much contrast as you may have wanted.
